July
4th Parade in Montreat
Montreat always organizes an old-fashioned
Fourth of July Parade, featuring the youth clubs, maintenance
equipment, police cars with sirens, family reunions, small musical
groups from the community and the Montreat Scottish Society marching
with tartan banners, kilts and a gathering of friends.
There's nothing quite like it. So we hope that if you
are planning to be in Montreat during the Fourth of July festivities
Wednesday, July 4th, 2006, gather at 9:45 am in front of the
Bell Library on Lookout Road, parking available in Library parking
lot; units line up at 10 am and the Parade starts at 10:30 am
that you will join in
either as a marcher (sort of) with the Montreat Scottish
Society contingent or as an enthusiastic parade watcher.
See you for a patriotic Fourth!
Here's a photo album from the 2005 parade
