July 4th Parade in Montreat
Montreat always organizes an old-fashioned Fourth of July Parade, featuring the youth clubs, maintenance equipment, police cars with sirens, family reunions, small musical groups from the community and the Montreat Scottish Society — marching with tartan banners, kilts and a gathering of friends.
There's nothing quite like it. So we hope that if you are planning to be in Montreat during the Fourth of July festivities
— Wednesday, July 4th, 2006, gather at 9:45 am in front of the Bell Library on Lookout Road, parking available in Library parking lot; units line up at 10 am and the Parade starts at 10:30 am  — that you will join in  — either as a marcher (sort of) with the Montreat Scottish Society contingent or as an enthusiastic parade watcher.
See you for a patriotic Fourth!
